WHO WE ARE

About

We love the beaches here in southern Maine! And the restaurants, the people, our shops, the skies, the flowers. We want you to have a great experience. Our property is ideally located. We are a ten to fifteen minute drive from Portland's amazing dining scene, several pristine beaches in Scarborough, the Maine Mall, the Jetport, grocery stores, and, of course, Marden's.😉

We love sharing our home. While our property is close to the action, it is essentially rural. We're just a mile up the road from a farmstand that sells fresh lobsters they've trapped. Across the road from the house, you'll glimpse horses grazing on our neighbor's property. (And you will likely hear their donky bray. Loudly.)

Our wildflower meadow blazes gold beneath the sunset. We love gardening and have a fresh herb garden in front of the house: help yourself! If you like to stay home and cook, it's our hope that our fully equipped kitchen will support you in that endeavor. If something's missing, let us know, We always aim to improve.

When we first decided to turn our much-loved home into a short-term rental, we were advised to "depersonalize" it. And so we did. But not quite. Because we love furniture, art, and decor so much, we couldn't help but curate the space. We had a lot of fun trying to make it just the the kind of place we'd want to land during our own travels.

We're a married couple who likes to read and go thrifting. One of us is an English professor, the other is a social worker. We like to to make the world a better place. We both love animals, which is why we welcome guests traveling with their pets.

Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have!

Wishing you and yours the best,

Cate & Hutch
